Phone Parking in East Devon is Changing

From 17th May 2021, phone parking across East Devon District Council is changing to RingGo’s Start:Stop service.

Please note that RingGo Start:Stop is a variant of RingGo where motorists use the app or phone line to both start and stop their parking, rather than paying for time in advance.

Motorists using the service must remember to stop their parking before they drive away or they could be charged more.

Bold green and red signs (like the one right) highlight the East Devon parking where RingGo Start:Stop is being offered.

Please note that parking across the rest of Devon uses RingGo’s standard Buy Time (pay in advance) solution and the signage for this is green and blue.

Motorists that currently use Parkmobile and are not already registered with RingGo will need to provide their details to the new service.

You can do this either by downloading the RingGo app the free RingGo app from the App Store or Google Play Store or at RingGo.co.uk. This can be done any time in the run up to the transfer.

Alternatively, you can wait until the new service is live and call 01404 200 060 when you want to park.

To offer safer, TouchFree payments, and encourage greater use of phone parking across Devon, all Councils across the County have removed the convenience fee for phone parking, bringing payments into line with cash*.
