RingGo now costs the same as cash in Basingstoke

We’re thrilled to announce that you will no longer have to pay a convenience fee for using RingGo in Basingstoke. In a move to encourage more motorists to pay to park by phone, the Council have decided to remove the additional charge.

With non-essential shops, pubs and restaurants now open, Basingstoke and Deane Council have taken this step to ensure residents and visitors have safe, simple options as they return to the Town Centre. The iconic festival place and Churchill Plaza will also now feature on the “book now” screen.

Peter O’Driscoll, Managing Director for RingGo says, “Removing the convenience fee is a great way of encouraging even more motorists to pay to park by phone. We are really pleased that Basingstoke and Deane Council have taken this step, particularly as shops and outdoor hospitality begin to reopen.”

“With our offices based in Basingstoke, we know all about the fantastic restaurants and shops that residents and visitors will be keen to visit especially as we exit lockdown and head into the summer months. As we saw last year, a large number of motorists will want to avoid touching shared surfaces, so we are delighted to be offering RingGo at the same cost as cash, and meeting the needs of these motorists.”
